MINOR SPOILERS
Overall I enjoyed reading this story. It's quick paced and fun. The characters are independent and strong in their own ways so that when combined together they make a good couple.

I found myself easily delving into the story. It starts off with a bang with a big shock thrown at the main characters. It's one that the reader can sympathize with if you have a close family member with children. I don't yet but I have close friends who have kids so it's something I can still relate to in Mack's shoes.

My only real qualm is the fact that the main characters kept fighting their natural urges and attraction. It really is like watching a ping pong match going back and forth. They keep sending mixed messages, for instance, they say or do something trying to distance themselves when they really mean the opposite. This sort of irked me but I can see why they did and reacted the way they did. Still I believe truth would have been an easy solution if they were more honest to each other and themselves.

It was interesting to watch the two characters handle their new changes into temporary parental-ship. It was adorable to see Mack handle the transition since he was more of a bachelor so his lack of training was more entertaining. Whereas Lauren runs a daycare so it's more natural for her, plus the baby is her niece so there's more of a connection.

The love scenes were nice and sexy. I liked them a lot. They were spaced out decently but for some reason I couldn't believe they would be able to do any that with a baby around... I would imagine they would be too tired from work or taking care of the baby and would want to pass out. lol But I guess I shouldn't underestimate the need of the libido.

The ending was good. All the points leading up to the end was decent and am satisfied with how it concluded. I like at the end there was no change in Lauren that could have easily solved one of her internal problems. Instead she dealt with it in a different way and I applaud the author for handling it that way.

I recommend this book if you like the movie "Life as We Know It" because it's similar to the book.

3.7 out of 5 rating for me!
